BloqUV was founded in 2009 with the purpose of bringing peace of mind to outdoor enthusiasts who spend long hours in the sun.

Providing instant Sun Protection, the UV protection is inherent to our proprietary BloqTek™ fabric that blocks 98% of the sun's rays and is therefore unaffected by laundering. Our fabric is moisture wicking and quick-drying allowing for a wide range of uses on land and water. 

Our fabric is soft, breathable, comfortable, long-lasting, light-weight and gets 5 degrees cooler when wet.

BloqUV - The Power to Protect

Since 2009, BloqUV has been providing soft, light weight UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) 50+ fabrics and sun protective clothing for the entire family.  BloqUV guarantees to block 98% of harmful UVA/UVB rays.  The UV protection does not wash away with launderings. 
BloqUV conducts UV testing through an independent UV laboratory, we test UPF levels of fabric by color, wet and dry. Fabrics are tested in accordance with AATCC 183 and to ensure the UPF 50+ is as stated.  Our level of protection exceeds all published rating standards UPF 50. (industry standard stops at UPF50).  We indicate by adding “+ sign” UPF50+.
Our brand is recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation.   To earn the Seal of Recommendation, data on our fabric was reviewed by the Foundations Photobiology Committee which is comprised of physicians with an expertise in UV radiation and the skin.
