The overskirt is non-compression BloqTek 50+ UPF sun protection fabric to provide coverage and a flattering drape. BloqTek™ is exclusive to BloqUV. It provides permanent UPF 50+ sun protection that never washes out and delivers a cooling effect of up to 5 degrees when wet with water or sweat. Our fabrics are tested according to AATCC TM 183 standards to ensure UPF 50+ protection, as recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation. UPF functions similarly to SPF in sunscreens—while an average white cotton shirt only offers about UPF 5.
BloqTek™ fabric is free of BPA and BPS, two bisphenol chemicals that may have negative health and environmental effects.
For styles 6002 and 6004, the skort is made with BloqTek™, and the leggings are made of 85% Tactel and 13% Lycra, offering light compression.
